Lexus LS460L

This 2008 Lexus LS460L belongs to a regular client of mine(whom actually contacted me through Autopia). The car was in great shape before I started hence only a few before pics. The sun wasn't co-operating and kept hiding behind clouds. I tried to move the car into the best spot possible.

Process:

DP Wheel Gel

Megs NXT Tire Dressing

Stoners Invisible Glass

ONR Wash

Clay

Optimum Polish via Black Pad 1200 rpm

Danase Wet Glaze via Black Pad UDM

Thanks! They seem to be great cars, comfortable as hell and supposedly quick too!! I'd like to get my hands on an LS600H, they're supposed to be rockets!! Plus I wanna check out the LED headlamps.

Good luck with the LS next weekend, post up some pics when you're done.

Nice job and nice car. I think Lexus make an amazing car.

I have a question about the DWG - I just rec'd my DWG on Friday and I'm testing it out on the hood this evening (a full spring detail is coming up soon). How long did you work the DWG for? I'm not sure if its me but it seems it doesnt need a lot of time to work and it basically disappears after a few passes. I'm also using a black pad.

Not long, I apply to the entire car, come back and wipe it off. I do it by hand alot and it works great. I wish the DWG look would last for a month though.

It is super easy to apply. If you apply a sealant on top of it, it lasts longer.

Like everyone else above said, it's super easy to apply and can be applied by hand or machine with only a couple passes.

I'm just starting to use DWG so I want to see how long it lasts under P21s.

They are amazing cars. We checked them out before we purchased our LS4330. Fast, comfy, and very quiet. Wasn't worth the extra $25k to me though. The 430 is a pretty nice car, and we are still as happy with it as we could be.

Oh..

BTW good luck getting whites or pearl whites to look amazing in a photo. It is kind of difficult. Try getting the camera lower and "raking" in ambient light. Morning and afternoon to early evening are usually best. Never use flash and stabilize using the ground at three points on your body or a short tripod.

Hi all,

That LS is mine, and I had to do a double take because I was just browsing the forum looking at all the great work being done on some really awesome cars.

I can't speak highly enough about the quality of Nick's work. It's consistently top notch and a rare find these days. I work 10-12 hours a day or more and having someone like Nick to keep my ride looking sharp is such a nice luxury to have. I know enough about detailing to be dangerous, and in the past I've never used the same detailer twice because the work was always mediocre at best, or downright damaging at worst.

This forum is a gem for those of us searching for a relationship with a detailer that we can trust with our cars for many years to come. Keep up the sick work guys!

Thanks for the kind words Dan!! I don't post too many of my details on here as I mainly read up on the latest and greatest product. However, I felt that autopia members would enjoy viewing your car, as it's simply beautiful (Most would agree).

I think everyone here can agree that Autopia is home to a completely different breed of detailer. A breed that believes in perfection and consistency. And for alot of us, we do it because we love to detail. The bonus is appreciative friends and clients like you. And as you said, keep up the sick work!
