There is the initial letter, which I revised (with all your help.) I have sent these out now 3 times so far this year, starting at the end of March. I use a regular envelope with my logo printed on a shipping label. I figure it costs me about $30-$40 and an hours time every time I mail out. I drove around one day compiling about 55 addresses (sp?) of extravagant homes, or homes that I knew to have extravagant cars. About 165 potential hits. I got my first call last week. Bentley

Wow that's awesome. Did you include a flyer, business card, etc. or just the flyer? This sounds like a pretty good idea.

I am going to take a similiar approach very soon this summer. I plan on putting cards, pricelist, and some before and afters of some vehicles in a nice envelope with my logo. I plan on distributing them door to door.

Congrats on the Bently!

This is what I meant to post: Mods, if you could change my first post.

There is the initial letter, which I revised (with all your help.) I have sent these out now 3 times so far this year, starting at the end of March. I use a regular envelope (business card enclosed) with my logo printed on a shipping label. I figure it costs me about $30-$40 and an hours time every time I mail out. I drove around one day compiling about 55 addresses (sp?) of extravagant homes, or homes that I knew to have extravagant cars. About 165 potential hits.

I got my first call last week. The gentleman ask about washing/waxing services on his Bentley Continental, Porche Carrera Cabriolet, and Infiniti QX56; all silver. I arrive to the detail on Tuesday and we started talking about what his technique was (he informed he liked to wash his own cars) and what products he uses (Griots.) While talking with him I caught yellow out of the corner of my eye, just past a closed garage door.

He has a yellow Porche Carrera GT as well. It is 1/44 made, was delivered from Lamberghini Dallas, with the auto swirl feature.

The point I am trying to make is that if I hadn't done what may seem insignificant to others, I would never have gotten this opportunity. This is my first true exotic customer, and I got him by spending less than $1. He was extremely pleased with the cars, and has booked the GT for next week. I'm very excited to work on such a beatiful car, and to think I almost didn't bother with those stupid letters that people just throw away with reading.
