How is your torch red vette? Paint conditon I mean. Making a car shine is a process not a product (Jngrbrdman 12-30-02.)

to my untrained eye the paint looks great, even using a cheap wax or without. but from certain angles i do see what i think to be swirl marks. looks like very tiny little scratches in a swirl type pattern? maybe from the previous owner using cheap towels??

and by the way thanks for the pics they look GREAT, i especially like JasonC8301's car, thats the look im after..looks awesome!!

Darn got caught red handed :D Yes that is one of my die cast model cars. BMW M coupe, gosh I sooooo want one but no ones gonna loan me $50,000.

But Klasse/Souveran is on their. If I remember 2x AIO, 4X SG, 2X Souveran. Vinylex on all trim and plastic.

lmfao wtf i didnt even realize that, see what a long day at work an a couple Guinness can do:rolleyes: but the finish still looks good:p bwahaha

Thumper still 24K?? Looking more in the ballpark of 4-5K tops. Trying to get that 1992 Camry from my relative. Runs well, Wroth 5K, trying to negotiate 3.5-4K :D

Back to topic. Yes swirls are like circular light scratches. So for the best shine. I would wash, clay (if surface feels rough), polish with a light polish (I think 3M Perfect It III Machine Glaze, provides more umph than 3M SMR or Meguiar's #9, leaves the surface as is, has no fillers, and is slightly under 3M Finesse It II finishing Material which is a medium polish.) along with a PC (great investment, after 2 years of constant use (used probably more than most Autopian PC, this PC has seen pro duty :) ) and it is still running fine, just gotta bring it in for a tune up.) Then dawn wash and Zaino away, OR follow up with a glaze or paintwork enhancer like P21S/S100 SEC, Pinnacle PCL, Vanilla Moose, Mother's sealer and glaze, etc. etc. and then layer away with Souveran.

if the above is done, it will provide outstand results. More so than just putting on some Zaino or Souveran. Surface prep counts more. Zaino/Souveran enhances all that hard work prepping the paint and protects it.
