Let's see members pickup trucks

I assume part of the issue is the mfg cost of a RAM and Dakota was much closer than the sales price so RAM (likewise the F150) are so profitable it discourages the desire for mid-range domestic truck. GM is reviving theirs now.

Yupp, word is they are going try use a fiat chassis they already use for a sorta pickup Fiat Strada (see below). Its just so ugly and a unibody. I think the pricing was close before but now with the fullsize trucks running into the 50K mark when moderately equipped there is room for a midsized again.

Not a good day.
Had an 89 F150 4x4 which I sold when I got my 1997 F350 4x4.

The 89 had 4" suspension lift, 3" body lift with 35" BFGs when complete. Changed to 4.10 gears.
Also had a 6K Stereo system which I had installed myself. (Alpine Head unit w/ 6 cd changer/ Soundstream Amps (Granite 120.4, 2 ea reference 300's and a reference 500)

The F150 had many changes over the years. Obviously a little mishap too. Never had any photos of when the flares were painted two tone and brush guard base coat clear coated to match dark blue of truck. Other than the one of me at my friends wedding.

The F350 I bought a few months before getting married in 1997. Sold it in 2010 when I hit an all low mental state......all better now. Never made any changes to the 350 other than Nerf bars.

Neither truck had a scratch or door ding in it when sold.

Edit: I never took the '89 off-road again after the Free Ford repaint from the failing paint jobs of that era. A full bed off repaint with extra coats from a friend that worked at Ford's body shop.

Awesome trucks Shawn. To bad that 350 wasnt a Powerstroke. Still an awesome truck. Love that two tone paint scheme. That style was definitely some of the best trucks ever built. How many miles did it have when you sold it?

Thanks, About 114k miles or so. Had a 351 in it. I always wanted the straight axle after dealing with the F150. Loved that Dana 60.
I used to say I would never sell it. I always said it's irreplaceable. I agree they were the best ever built. I actually see it around once in a while which is heart breaking. I was in a bad state of depression when it went. My wife thought she was helping me by trading it in...
You still have that F250?
That was a 97 too? I remember that Heavy Duty emblem when they had it.

Now I can't seem to drop back to an F150. Other than the Raptor.
I've had my eye on the F250/350 but don't want the payment.

Yes, I have a 97 f 250 with just over 91,000 miles. Its my baby. Got it from the West Coast so I didnt have the rust problems that we have on the East. Put new front springs on the front after I got it to level it out. Then got a new allignment. Now when you turn sharp in a driveway or parking lot it acts like its in 4 wheel drive. It drives me crazy. Hopefully in the near future I can pick up a clean straight axle to put under her. I actually really wanted a 350 regular cab powerstroke in good shape but they are one in a million.
