Lessening vibration from PC?

Player Appreciate!
Just wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to lessen the vibration one feels from the PC?

I just find using it quite fatiguing with all that shaking rolling up my old bones.

Was thinking putting foam around it (not the ventilation holes of course) might do the trick.

The counterweight will say something to the effect of "Use 5" Pad only". Also, are the vibrations only bad at 5-6 or is it constant at all speeds?

The PC 7424 comes with a 5" counter weight..PC 7336 supplies a 6" CW..if you have a 5" you may want to step upto a 6" when using larger pads

This sounds trivial but taking a little extra time to make sure the pad is as closely centered as possible really does help regardless of pad or weight size.

I prefer the 7.5" pads ...I think it lessens the vibration for me and i have a 5" counter weight:)

I haven't tried these, but one of the guys in the office recommended to me a while back some anti-vibration gloves. You can get them from Vallen for $20-60 dollars a pair.

Good luck,

Jim

Good suggestion.
It at least changes the severe vibration to more of a tingle. :)

One thing I find that helps with any job that requires "holding on" is to only grip the tool as tight as needed to be able to control it. I think we tend to grip things much tighter than necessary which adds to the fatigue.

I think I have become so use to the vibration that I have almost grown ammune to it. Although now I will probably notice it again.
