Less Dust with Menzerna ???

I've been using Griot's Garage's orbital along with their polishes, but they take for ever, and they dust heavily. If I were to use Menzerna FP along with a Makita circular polisher, would there be less dusting ???? Thanks :hm

use the Menzerna FP2 or Balckfire final polish with an orbital and get a great finish everytime. Use either a back LC pad or Tan Megs pad.

I just used IP and FP today via PC. I did get some minor just with IP but that was easily corrected by cleaning my pad frequently and using a spritz of water on each panel.

I had not dusting issues at all with FP.

Outstanding polishes.

I use FPII pretty often, and don't really get dust unless the pad is caked with product. IP, OTOH, can dust a bit, but I just spritz some QD on the paint to cut down on that. Both are great products.

Others have mixed RMG 30 - 50% with Menz polishes, so I tried it last time I polished. No dusting or splatter problems, the polish just disappears into the surface. Do a search, you may want to give this a try.

I get alot dust with IP(dont mind, just need rehose it down again)esp on a black car..I d/k why. I use OP and mix with RMG w/a green ccs pad...the dust remain minium.

The idea with menzerna, or any other good polish/ compound/ levelers on the market, is to try and work the product till it becomes translucent on the paint. Once you start to get a lot of dusiting, you either need to clean the pad, or you are working the product a wee bit much. Ironically, it happens to me all the time, whether I use my d/a or rotary. but I have managed to continually reduce the dusting over time.

What I like to do is mix a lil bit of optimum with my menzerna to help reduce the dusting as well as allow me to work much longer in sunlight.

try mixing IP with some 106ff. It will cut down the dusting and give you better working time also. Still get some dust but not as bad as straight.

If your not looking to remove all the defects and using wax then rmg would be another way to go also. I guess this would be great for quick jobs.

OP in the mix is great for in sun work.

I will never add any filling glaze like RMG to a polish.

I have never done it and personally would never try it, but I have heard people have done this for quick jobs:nixweiss

I love 100% correction or pretty close to it.

Last time I did my car I mixed a little FPII with IP and it cut down on dusting considerably. You don't need a lot, maybe about 20% or so. I think it finished a little better too.

Once I complained to wise (and spoiled) man about dusting I had with Menzerna and how I was thinking of mixing it with RMG to cut down on dusting. His thought was something along the lines of "as long as there is even a little dust you will have to cleanup anyway, plus let the product work the way it was designed to work".

He made sense to me.
