LED worklight for car interior work

I have this one... 30 LED's, re-chargable, high and low settings. Very bright for only 30 LED's. For Craftsman stuff I always wait for the sale flyer to come out... a lot of times it's half price for "Craftsman Club" card holders. I got it for $17, regular price $34.

If your talking about the standing light rig in his shop... that was a custom build by a close friend/fabricator.

Its awesome for interior work though :Dancing Dot:

Yes ^ The one I remember seeing looked liked someone used an engine stand of sorts and had about a 3-4 foot tube bulb attached. Seems like I remember someone asking Bobcat before. I think he said he paid about $500 7 years ago :scared:

Like this one from Amazon?

Tooluxe 130 LED Rechargeable cordless work light with Stand -130 individual pure white, super-bright LEDs eliminate shadows without blinding glare.....

I purchased that light last year and returned it. Yes, I charged it and used in plugged in to AC/DC, and I was sorely disappointed at the light output (you can read my short review on Amazon). I just got a Petzel Tikka headlamp to work with and it's a great little light source to have around for a lot of situations. You can get 2, 3 or 4 LED headlamps, depending on the amount of output you think you'll need. I even bought a Petzel for the same person I was giving the work light too and he LOVED it and uses it more than a traditional "work" light.

I got a portable one for Christmas and so far it works great. It is made by Bayco.

I like the home and car charger, as well as the magnetic hook set up.

Hey, wait a minute. I've seen those lites before >>> :StarWars:

Thanks Randy! I found a good price on both and will order the 2166.

Let us know how they end up working out Bryan. There are days I am forced to work indoors :cursing:

Even with the best lighting, its still hard to Really see all the nooks and crannys w/out some sorta portable lighting system :spy:

I think Clark, at Polished Bliss, is using a headlight? The headlight thing really sounds like a good way to go, I'm going to look into that.

Maybe Clark will chime in now that he's a member :)

Those wands...The problem I see with those is were are you going to set them, and the reflection off the Reflector would cause temporary blindness :(

The one that TOWGT mentioned seemed the most powerful but the handheld/hanging types seem more practical purpose. When something says 60 lumens it is not much light since a 60W bulb had 800 lumens.

It's nice to use for interiors because you don't have to mess with moving the light around, it goes with you and directs light in the direction you're looking. You can find them at just about any camping/hunting/fishing/outdoorsy place.

Hey MacG that is a sharp looking headlamp. I see also where that tool would have multiple uses. I like to go on Cavern Expeditions...Went on one 2 years ago that was 5 hours long, and half the time I was on my belly doing the monkey crawl :soldier:

I could also use it to read bye at night in bed :spy:

Maybe PAC should start carrying this item :money:

Nope definitely not me mate - A headlight would just irritate the hell out of me! We've had a good idea for lighting up interiors which I'll post when we've sorted it out :)

I have this one that I use at the FT job and its great:

I wear it for up to 6 hours at a time and its not an issue.

Bass pro shops had a price mistake on the Petzl? Tikka Plus2 LED Headlamp, I got it for under $20 shipped. So I will use it for detailing.
