Hey guys i've been bitten by the detailing bug and have a flex with optimum products. I just started and am learning alot about polishing. But my problem right now is that I have leather seats and I want something to condition and clean the seats. The tops of the headrest of the car is very hard and I don't want it to crack. Is there a good product that people use on here? I want something that doesn't feel sticky or slippery. Thanks in advance.

i'm a huge fan of leatherique.... my seats were like cardboard... after the first application i must admit that i was disappointed (sure, it was a bit softer but barely noticeable)... well, since i still had enough product (both conditioner and cleaner) and i didnt want to waste it, i used it the next time i did my interior and i was pleasantly surprised that it was more noticeable... now after 4 applications (done over the course of 9 months), i can wholeheartedly recommended as the results have far exceeded my expectations...

I'm a big fan of the Griot's Garage products, and I would highly recommend their Leather Care products. My driver's seat was very dry when I bought the car, and after a few applications over the last 9 months the leather has softened significantly. Unfortunately the previous owners let the seats dry up and the drivers seat has some very noticable cracks.

Have you cleaned it well? Try using a 3M delicate duty scuff pad and some cleaner like distilled water with 3% dishwashing liquid. Usually a good cleaning will do wonders.

sounds like leatherique is a good product, can u post what is in that stuff? i hear that certain ones are better than others due to some special chemical or something

How much does it take. Because they have 32 oz and 16 oz. I was planning to get a larger size. also is there a scent to their product? I'm looking for something with no residue and just a normal leater smell. I might try chemical guys products for leather.

bigger bottles are definitely a better value... the 16 oz. lasted me 4 applications on a mid-size mercedes sedan... as far as the scent, it has a distinct, non-offensive smell to it that doesn't linger... good luck and post your impressions when you have used it...

I've used (and still use) both Leatherique rejuv oil and Pristine Clean (get the 32 oz sizes) and the Griot's Garage Leather Care. Both are great. The Leatherique really pulls up the dirt and the Pristine Clean does a great clean up job. I use the Griot's Leather Care in between applications of Leatherique. I have not used the Griot's rejuvinator, however.

The 3m pad works great.
