leather or "pleather"?

Pleather can be stitched, but again, that will raise the cost. Pleather is often coated with a cheaper material and manufactured in a way that reduces cost. If it were to be coated with similar material to leather and stitched, the cost difference between the material (as well as the feel) would be almost indistinguishable.

"Thanks but its actually really nice pleather, I paid as much for it as I did leather.."

I was mainly reffering to when a section of seat needs to be replaced due to wear and tear

Example...I had a section replaced on a E430 not long ago from were the owners belt wore a hole in it. Total cost was $125. Replacing it with leather would've been closer to $175. Unless you were a leather expert, no one would be the wiser :-B

I'm just talking about BMW's since the OP was talking about a BMW. I don't know about other pleather. But if you want to spot BMW pleather, use the stitch test.
