I recently purchased lexol leather cleaner and conditioner and i read that it is known to leave a very shiny finish. I dont think that i would mind the shiny finish as ling as its not all slimy and greasy. I havent opned it yet can anyone ressoment something that will leave a nice matte or satin finish with out it being sticky or greasy. Something that i can purchase in a local store not ordering it online is prefered.

Thanks

Lexol is not shiny, more satin looking. It also is not greasy or slimmy.Ive been using it on my is300 for 2 years.I go by the instructions on the lexol web site.Make sure you have 2 micro fiber towels to rub the excess off, works well.Hope that helps.

Hey Triumph87,

Lexol is fine, but I've switched to a product called Gliptone. Their leather conditioner is first class with a genuine leather smell (which is almost addictive) !

Meguair also has a few leather conditioners that are worth trying.

None of the above leave an oily feel to the seats.

Zaino's leather twins leave a very matte finish, almost unnoticeable unless you smell or feel the leather. Lexol is a little glossier and Pinnacle and Eagle One leather care products glossier still, but not what I'd call "very shiny". Products that are oil-based will leave a very shiny finish. That's why I usually don't use tire dressing products on interior parts - they're always too shiny. 303 Aerospace is an exception, though.

You can use both. Every other month, Ill either use lexol or 303. I switch up. As long as the leather gets conditioned about 2-3 times a year, and an occasional uv protectant, it shouldn't fade or crack.
