There are no chrysler parts on any mercedes benz. However, DaimlerChrysler has already used mercedes parts on the Chrysler/Jeep line. The Jeep grand cherokee has the mercedes benz 2.7 litre diesel motor in europe because the old 3.1 litre chrysler diesel is probably the worst motor ever built. Plus it is cost effective for them. Not that I favor this decision, but whatever. BTW, the service they promise for the phaeton seems very unrealistic, I doubt that will ever happen. And 39K for the new passat W8, what are they thinking!
 
I use the ProWax leather products.



For cleaning the leather I take a carpet brush and wrap two 100% cotton towels around the brush. Gives you two layers over the bristles. You then can apply the cleaner to the towels and scrub the seats. For seams you can grab the seat and stretch it out to get in them.



For applying the dressing I use terry cloth covered foam applicators. I then use cotton towels to buff the dressing off after it has sat the appropriate amount of time.
 
From what I heard, they've laxed on that rule.



Only the cool people will have 270 hp Passats :) $38450 MSRP for isn't that bad, (the difference between a 1.8T and the V6 is like 4G's) As for dealers you're right they will always be dealers, yucko.

Started riding Motorcycle again so I broke out my old ( 20 yrs)cycle Jacket. Used Amsoil leather cleaner and followed with a coat of Lexol. Two weeks later I gave it another coat. I am not going to say its a miracle product, but the jacket looks better than it did 20 years ago- if I remember correctly-which is somewhat doubtful. :shocked
