Leather conditioner recommendations

Just applied the 303 for the very first time; usually use 4* with very good results. Leather is 2001 Honda Accord. With the hot Texas sun of summer coming (we just bought the car, good shape but leather interior never cleaned or treated - thank goodness it was somewhat of a garage queen) decided to give 303 a shot. The car will be a daily driver for my teenager and will sit outside and bake, so protection is a priority. Initial results with the 303 are very nice, so far.

Very easy on (the Accord leather is smooth). Left the seats very supple and noticably "softer". Applied the 303 just as you would for dash, etc. Wipe on and that's it...did not buff off as there did not appear to be any excess. 303 spreads well. Nice finish left behind as per usual with 303. Whereas the 4* would leave the seats with a "dry" finish, the 303 left the leather noticably "slick". Not "slick" in the terms of greasy or any residue, but "slick" in almost a velvety smooth, reduced friction type surface - makes sliding in and out of the car a breeze. Not sure that the "slickness" is typical of 303 on leather, but that has been my initial experience.

Initial experience has been very favorable. 303 spreads easier than the 4*, (4* is certainly not difficult to spread but the 303 takes virtually no effort) but lacks that wonderful leathery smell. I'm planning on alternating the 4* and 303 throughout the summer to see what I like and don't. Certainly, the 303 has got me thinking and wondering "Why not?"...it seems to work very well, at least on my initial application.

I went with the 4*. I really like the smell of leather, so I will forgo the z-10 until I'm ready to spend the extra dough on several Zaino products!

JJ: Let us know what you think of the 4* leather conditioner.

My new car doesn't have leather, so thats one less category of products for me to get wrapped up in. :jump

I am curious though if anyone has tried the new Mother's Reflections Advanced Leather Care? My cousin got a new(to him) Jeep Grand Cherokee with leather and I know he's going to need a good leather conditioner, all he has left is a 3 year old Gold Class Leather wipes bottle :nono

I'm wondering if this would be a good OTC choice for him?

I have to throw in a vote for 4*, leaves the leather soft, non slippery and with a matt finish. Great smell too!
