I would like to try Z10 but can't bring myself to fork over the money. Has anyone ever used the Meg's leather conditioner below?

I use Meg's GC Leather Conditioner. I haven't had any complaints yet, and I love the results it produces.

I used the Medallion Leather Conditioner several years ago. It kept leather in good condition without leaving it slippery; however, it had a nasty habit of leaving white residue in the holes of perforated leather. I did not repurchase the product after finishing off my first bottle.

My current favorite leather conditioner is Four Star's Ultimate Leather Conditioner.

Diluted Woolite :rockin

Diluted woolite is just a cleaner. It doesn't condition leather. The best conditioners for leather are lotions. You know kinda' like the lotion for your hands cept' used for leather. I do use diluted woolite (10 parts water to 1 part woolite) to clean my leather as a matter of fact.

I have Nissan leather seats with perforations, so I know all about the residue. However, I have found it desappears after your first ride around the block. It either gets squeeshed into the leather or squeeshed into my pants... dunno!

UPP has come-up twice. Maybe I'll give that a shot.

Is this it? How's the smell?

I've used the GC, Zaino and 4*. The GC is pretty much run of the mill, but good; I use it on our leather couches and recliners. The Zaino and 4* are noticably "a cut above". Both have a wonderful leather smell and make the leather very nice and supple with no slick or shiney finish. The Zaino seems to spread a bit more (less definitely works best) and has a bit stronger leather scent; for the money the 4* works better for me, but the Zaino is pretty top notch stuff.

Man I love this site, wanted to know about leather conditioners did a search and voila didn't even have to ask. Thank you everyone :dcrules

Here's one that doesn't get mentioned much....GLIPTONE Leather Conditioner.

I've tried a bunch of products including Megs and Zaino,etc.etc., but I have to say that Gliptone has proven the best for me. Hard to find. The company has limited retail distribution. I think they stick mostly to the Northeast.

I've been very happy with the Adams leather conditioner. I like it the best out of all the ones that I have tried.

Where can I find this Gliptone LC and Adams LC. I'm open to just about anything at this point.

Any links would be appreciated, especially links to the sponsors sites!

Z10 is good, its primary feature is that leather fragrance. I think that is it's strongest selling point.

Not sure if the 4 Star comes in similar sizes but a "bread and butter" leather conditioner I've used for over 10 years is Lexol. It comes in big jugs (3L?) for more economy especially if you want a quality product to have on hand in a detailing business.

The trick is to use it sparingly. That whole more is not better approach and be sure to buff it thoroughly with terry towels. That ought to solve any issues some report about it being uneven or sticky.

JJ....Gliptone is available through Autobarn, however you may be able to find it at Strauss Auto. Not sure you them in Maine???
