Leather cleaner attachment for PC - Bad to use often?

Hey guys,

After cleaning my leather with the PC leather brush I'd rather not ever do it by hand. Sorta like polish by hand vs. with machine.

However, is it bad to use it on my leather on a monthly basis?

That would probably be overkill.

Allow me to rephrase that. It is definitely overkill. You would do just fine with the scrubbing side of a foam applicator.

Its not the overkill that bothers me. Is it BAD for the leather? My wrist hurt for days after scrubbing with microfiber. This makes it MUCH easier on me.

Are you talking the grey bristle brush? I don't see a problem with using that one as it's softer than the brush that I use by hand. The bigger question is what product are you using for the cleaning and how strong is that?

I'll have to agree with SpoiledMan on this one. It's a pretty soft brush. Doing it on a monthly basis is probably overkill, but maybe you have light colored leather that soils much more quickly than other colors?

What speed are you using that attachment at? I'm finding that for it to do any cleaning action, it's spinning too fast and slinging product.

Yes, the gray one. I'm using it at speed 1 with Z9.

It sounds as if you are having to work very hard to clean your leather.

If you use correct cleaning products they should be doing the worlk for you and you should never have to scrub or use a machine. This level of scrubbing will definitely not do the finish on the leather any good.

Using a quality leather protector (not a conditioner - and one that works) will also help to make the cleaning process easier.

Leather cleaning is vey straight forward and should not take long to do. It can also be maintained very easily in between the deep cleaning process. All this will keep your leather looking and feeling good for a lot longer.

If you have ingrained dirt the best thing to use is a kitchen or nail brush (the bristles need to be fairly stiff and not soft) and this together with a foam leather cleaner will quickly and easily clean the leather.

Hope this helps
