For futur help =)

Very nice restoration Todd, on both leather + headlight.

Well explained!

Thank you for sharing all this information with us!

Great work. I've been a Leatherique user, but I have never used a brush with the Prestine clean. I will from now on! Thanks for all the extra details.

As noted above great tip on the brush with PC.

Those seats came out so good, I'll be the clients where super impressed, I know I am.

Great work on the heatlights as well.

I thought the work on the interior was amazing...until seeing the headlight restoration. Absolutely awesome work, and you may have even outdone yourself on the write-up. :D Thanks for this, and big kudos! The only other picture I would've liked to have seen is the one where the owner of the car comes to pick it up and nearly faints.

Wow! Great write up, Im going to do the same with my corvette seats im going to try zymols since its in my cabinet now and if it doesnt work ill try leatherique, thanks again, O headlights are gorgeous man!

Todd, great work with the leather! Every LHS that I see has the leather torn up and it's nice to see they can actually restore fairly well.

As far as the UV coating on the headlights, do you apply any protectant yourself to the headlights after you restore them? I have used a couple different types of UV protection but haven't found anything yet to be a replacement to the factory UV protection.

Thanks. As far as I'm aware, there is no replacement coating. You could apply 303 Aerospace on a regular basis, but I'm sure this one will need redone before too long. I'll try to get the customer to hand polish it with some PlastX every now and then so it doesn't get so bad.

Great work and an even better write up! Thanks for taking the time, Todd.

You're a true pro in every sense of the word!

Thanks Casey, you're too kind! I enjoy doing the more thorough write ups to make them as educational as possible.

Thanks, living in Florida surely helps with the heating of the interior.

You're welcome.

Thank you kindly! I try to put the extra effort into the write ups, and according to you, it was time well spent on this one. :)

Showroom...thanks!

Andy...let's not be cracking on my highly technical leather restoration containment apparatus (more commonly known as Cool Whip)!

Great writeup, Im about to do the headlights on a friends sebring and they are about as bad as those were. Im in for some work. I might try that leatherique stuff too, looks like it did wonders

Nice work Todd!

Is Poliseal an AIO? I normally apply AIO with a LC white pad at PC 3-4. Since my ZAIO doesn't have much of a cut, will I get a little bit more correction from using a LC orange pad at PC 6?

Awesome work!

For the headlights, I know some folks that have bought a clearview kit that includes wetsanding tools and polish, and a clearcoat to spray on the headlamps when done to reseal them for UV protection. Ever tried that? I'm wondering if maybe a coat of some ordinary clearcoat might just do the trick...

Thanks,

Yes, OPS is an AIO. I haven't used ZAIO, so I can't answer that question for you. If it's anything like the Poliseal, then you can mix it up with pads and speeds depending on the application and what your desired results are.

Thanks Steve. I haven't tried a UV clear coat on headlights before...perhaps somebody with direct experience could chime in.

I tried the clearview kit and it sucks. I am sure GoodnClean (steve, swo3XX from LOC) knows how to clean them...He is the master over their! :wink1:

There are cheaper ways and sometimes they work; not all. And ya, I bought the kit from clearview and their customer service sucks!!!! Can do the same with some nice rubbing coumpound, nice 400 grit sandpaper and some clearcoat (pro kind)..

Problem I see reading online is most cutomers/owners do not get it...or do not care...or are dumb...

I forgot about this write up. Thanks for taking the time to post the Leatherique application steps. I just ordered some yesterday for the first time and look forward to trying it out.
