I agree 4x4s are a PITA. With the exception of LandRover. Whilst still time consuming they arn't bad to work on. I don't like Japanese or Korean cars much. They often feel cheap the interiors in particular.



German cars come around well mainly I guess, because they are made from quality materials. (Some of the paint on VAG group cars can be hard going I find though).
