LC White Pads comparison question

Could someone please tell me what's the difference between these 2 lake country white pads and is one better than the other?



I use Flex & PC...

The one with holes has "polish pockets" to keep a well lubricated surface while buffing. On paper, it's a superior pad. In reality, there's no advantage via PC and only a minor one at best via rotary.
 
Ive always wondered how you finish/break down, a polish if theres a constant "new" supply....

Very ingenious, but is it really practical?

I prefer the flat surfaced pads, no offense LC, I just like one more then the other.
 
I use the CCS pads with ZPC. Since I only use a few drops of polish I place it on the flat sections-very little works it's way into the pockets. Since the pad has less surface area touching the paint the polish seems to work longer. Now for AIO use I prefer the flat pad.
