LC pad problem

A couple of weeks ago I used a white LC pad to apply FPII. After finishing I rinsed the pad thoroughly and believed I got all the product out, then let it air dry. Once dry, I placed it into a ziplock pad. When I looked at it tonight, it had all kinds of dark spots which looks like mold. Is this possible. Is my pad now ruined? Guess I should invest in a brush to scrub the pad after rinsing. Any thoughts? Thanks

I suspect that the pad was not dry when placed in the ziplock & developed mold....I do not seal any of mine, let them air dry complete and store on end in an open box....

If it's the LC VC pad available from CMA, the white foam is a closed-cell foam and holds a ton of moisture...for a long time. Next time, let air dry for longer (sorry to state the obvious). And I'm sure it's not ruined...just reclean with a strong degreaser or even an APC.

That happened to one of my megs applicator sponges. Got coloured spots all over it. I've washed it a few times now and they're still there so I figure its ok to use still.
