After two uses:

Pad was washed with Wolfgang pad cleaner ( basically the same as snappy clean). None of my other LC CCS pads from autogeek / danase have shown any velcro failure.

That thin white backing on those pads seems pretty wimpy, but I have gotten a lot of time on them (a lot more than 2 uses). I don't have the CCS, only the constant pressure.

I have had the same experience with these pads as well as other pads that have these same backing pads. I like the CCS pads but will not purchase these pads again until they have a better backing pad. If I cannot wash them in a washing machine I do not want them in my arsenal.

Im confused.. why does his pad have the constant pressure/classic motoring accessories logo on the backing? I though those were only on the the german pads with the blue inner part? and the german pads dont come in white, just green and orange..

well, i have the german pads, both green and orange. And i throw mine in the washer with woollite, slow, warm water every week... done that for about 5x and theres no signs of the backing coming off.

are you using a orbital or rotary? if your using a orbital.. then i think thats the reason.. it gets hot as hell! i have MELTED pads onto backing plates using speed 6, heavy pressure.

A few years ago all the CMA pads were "constant pressure". I have yellow, white, orange and green with the blue constant pressure backing and the wimpy velcro. As I indicated before, I've done a fair amount of cutting with the yellow pads and I don't recall having any velcro problems, but the thin white backing doesn't inspire much confidence.

i love those constant pressure pads!! i hope mine doesnt fall apart soon.. hell, im thinking of snitching it just incase!

I have had the same problems with my white and green pads. I have been using a Liquid Nails glue designed for fabric and foam to repair them. The glue stays very flexible with good hold, but I think that I might pull the backing completely off the next time and then put my own velcro backing on that goes almost to the edge. My 6" backing plates go right to the edge of the original velcro backing and that blue foam just cannot stay glued to the backing. There just too much action and the foam tears away from the glue..

All LC CCS pads sold through CMA have the constant pressure layer.

I'm using a rotary, this pad has never seen above 1500rpms on my metabo and has pretty much only been used to apply PO106FF as a final finishing step after SIP.

This also happened to 5 or 6 of my pads from proper. I called up, got an RMA and sent them back. The new pads I received have blue writing instead of black and seem to have better glue.

I had about 4 or 5 of those old constant pressure pads from CMA (I actually bought them from the Detail City store though). My yellow pad the second time I used it had the velcro seperate just like this.

Havent got any problems yet with their pads. Have had the white and orange pads washed several times no. Velcro is stil holdin good.

Is there a way to fix this pad. I have a CCS Orange pad as well with the black hook and loop backing which after washing it couple of times came off. I used all purpose cleaner and just rinsed under the sink? Perhaps if I spray glue on it and try to attach it again, or does it need some kind of strong adheasive.?
