Layering Wax

What is the necessary wait time between coats when layering wax? I am using Collinite 476S

I don't want to just rub the first coat off...

When i wax i dont have a set time. I just wax when i have nothing else to do.

I put on a coat of S100 just about once a week.

Last time I played around with multiple applications of 476S (the MPV's winter wheels), I seemed to do OK adding a "layer" with about an 18 hour wait. I dunno if it was truly layering (I'd say it was) or just building up oils/etc. on the surface, but it did get "better" (slicker, a bit better looking) each time and build up in stamped-in lettering (yeah, I was applying it thicker than I usually do) seemed to indicate that the wax was indeed adding up.

I'd go for 2-3 applications and then just add more after the next few washes.

Can't really say...I've either just let it go for a few months and then rewax (a few coats of 476S last all winter) or else rewax often enough that it never really gets bad.

IMO you could easily waste time/effor/product putting on multiple applications of a wax like 476S.

Now some other products like KSG are a different story.....
