Layering Souveran

B/T92Miata

New member
I just got finished using PPCL, some Meguiar's polish in some tough spots, followed by PS a black 1992 Miata. Looks pretty good for an 11 year old car with some weathered paint.

My car is not garaged. I'd like to apply another layer of Souveran tomorrow.

Should I wash first? Should I just use PCM? Or should I wash, then follow up with PCM, then apply the next layer of PS.

Thanks

I would say that if the car is going to be sitting outside- then I would say that a sealant would be a good choice topped with Souveran as Souveran doesn't last that long. But since that wasn't your question- I would say QD it and then apply the next layer.

QD and layer. There's no benefit to more than two layers.

And, I agree with Greg; the next time you do it, do a sealant first. I did Meguiar's #20 followed by PS. It's as reflective as #20, and as deep as PS.
