Layering different tire dressings...

So I have been using 303 on my own tires. I have always liked the results, and it lasts a long time for me.

On my customers cars, I have been using Bold N' Bright. Which I like a lot too.

I was helping my friend out with his car, and I used 303 for him since it will probably last a bit longer. I really didn't like the looks... not glossy enough :D but maybe I'm just partial to high gloss tires on other peoples cars now.

So looking at my friends car... I thought of this!

What if you put 303 on as a base coat (long lasting, high protection, etc...), then waited for it to dry, and sprayed on a water based, possibly low cleaning, high gloss tire dressing on top! lol. There might be some added benefits to this. If you did this though, it could also put your family one step closer to seeking professional help for you (and no.. I don't mean a mobile detailer.. I mean psychiatric help :D lol)

So what does everyone think about this? would it really give any added benefits? or is it just a waste of product?:nixweiss

Sometime last year folks briefly discussed this idea. Not much interest in it though :nixweiss

B]

He he, especially when you ALWAYS dress BOTH sides of your tires:D

I think I was part of that discussion. I'm still doing it. The 303 helps with the brown bloom, but I like a little more shine sometimes--on top of it I put Megiars Endurance.

wouldn't you want to put the longer lasting on top of the B&B?

303 leaves a really matt look. I dont think it would work too well that way. Its kinda like putting a long lasting sealant wax on your paint, and then toping it with P21S/S100 or something like that I think.

So it seems that at least one person does this (with the tires) :D I guess ill have to try it out. I know B&B has cleaning properties to it... do you think it would remove/degrade a lot of the 303 that gets sprayed on there? lol

don't people do that all the time? As a matter of fact, if the weather is good tomorrow, I'll put #16 on top of EX+P
