Wait until I get my Nikon film scans back. These digital cameras suck on silver as I am finding - it creates a tricky "white balance" problem for digital.
I have seen the same "white balance" problems on film cameras. It is due to lighting and quality digital cameras will allow you to set the white balance to match the conditions (not to mention they will also take take pictures with truer color).
Standard point and shoots with no white balance controls will "suck on silver."
This is what I am finding but I have also used some high end cameras and had the same problem to a degree. I think I will stick with the F100 a while longer-I like the extra detail and color accuracy.
