Last's nights Chat Room Transcript: Q&A with special guest Collinite's Patrick Taylor

Patrick Taylor was kind enough to stop by last night's weekly Tuesday Night chat and spent an hour of his time answering our questions and enduring the goofy, party time atmosphere.

Here is a brief summary, the full transcript is below.

About Collinite... A true, old school company that invests capital into the actual wax product instead of marketing/packaging. That are passionate about making the best wax in the world. They may introduce more products such as a tire gel and a clear coat final polish in the future, but for now it's just making the best wax possible.

About 476: #476 is Patrick's favorite wax. For best results apply #476 to sections of the car and buff off. It should haze quickly, but you don't want to let it sit too long.

About 845...#845 is Collinite's number one selling wax. It is a polymer-sealant/wax combo that was originally sold for industrial application. #845 can be applied to the entire car then buffed off.

About 915: #915 has 20% more carnauba then #476 and should last longer. Many detailers feel this is the best looking wax. It should haze quickly, but you don't want to let is sit too long.

In general: Collinite doesn't recommend applying or removing the waxes in direct (hot) sunlight or in tempertures under 55 degrees.

Todd, thanks for the summary. Much easier than reading through the transcript. It read like a free-for-all.

2 things I gleaned from the transcript... "Meebo makes IM easy" and Todd is going to make a fortune with his lemon-sunflower fragrance and crystal container. In the spirit of marketing I suggest you package it in a Flintstone's theme and call it Crystal Rockhead. Make a bunch of videos of you applying it with your feet while exclaiming "Yabba Dabba Doo" at approriate intervals. You'll be a gazillionaire! :Dancing Dot:

You can thank me later.

Thank you kindly Todd! My schedule currently prevents me from participating real time. This is yet another example of why I keep coming back to TID.

I am happy to see Mr. Taylor and his lovely Bride consider naming there 1st born after me though (at least someone still has a since of humor)

I like Todd's repackaging idea.....

Fancy crystal container and sell it for thousands!!!

Todd knows how well I love Collinite's products. The best in waxes to me.
