Last few questions (hopefully)

I'm going to start a major detailing today.



Wash, Clay, AIO, SG (1 Layer), Maybe another tonight and a third tommorw morning then S100 topper.



I have a garage but I can't use the hose inside.



I am planning on washing it outside, taking it inside claying it then washing it again outside (If I have to) then putting on the AIO and SG inside the garage where I will let it cure.



My question is outside the garage. There are large trees surrounding my property and the wind can sometime blow little bits of leaves or other things onto my car while I'm washing it. What should I do in this sittuation? I have a few cans of compressed air, should I use that to blow off these little bits of leaves or whatever it is?



Also I'm not sure how much AIO or SG to use even though I've read a lot, and the least possible is the best. My only concern is that I won't have enough and I will be rubbing a dry applicator all over my car. When I waxed the first time last year I kept putting more of the liquid wax onto the applicator every minute or so (bad idea). How will I know if I need more? :nixweiss



I'm going to be using MF applicator pads that came from CMA to apply the AIO and SG. I have wool skin wash mits from Costco to wash the car and I have pakshak MF towels to dry / buff. Clay is Clay Magic and to put on the S100 I plan on using the little foam appliactor given.

Have you considered washing your car with QEW (Quick and Easy Wash)? You could wash your car inside the garage with this, as you are not doing any rinsing whatsoever. A lot of people on the board use this in inclimate weather and it works great.



I don't know where you live but you can usually find it in boating/camping supply stores or RV stores (like Camping World).

I too have large trees near my house and sometimes it gets windy also. Now since your washing outside, just wash the car and when you are done rinse it over with the hose then jump in and gun it to the garage! That usually solves all my problems with those darn tree leaves and what not.

If you get leaves, pollen, etc on the car you could always lightly brush them off with a MF towel or CCD.



I'm not sure if your worry about using too little product would come up in practice? Once you prime the applicator and get going hopefully it should be intuitive if you're using too little and adjust the amount you put on the app. As long as you can tell you've applied something to the paint, it's enough.
