laquer paint?? old show car. Moldy inside?

I have to detail a show car tommorow, I have done a few before but never one with laquer, dont think the spelling is right, but that is the type of paint on it. Can i correct buff with the rotary, and what issues that are different then clear do i have to deal with. Also, it was moldy inside due to moisture, any further suggestions helpful.

Not sure on the interior but lacquer (Acrylic) was the paint of choice back in the day. It's a single stage paint so you may be working with no Clear Coat although a CC could've been applied as they are available but not needed.



Keep the RPM's low 1000~1400 and use the least aggressive combination of pad/product to get the panel finished.



Basically follow all the normal procedures for polishing a panel with the idea in your head you may not have any clear on the car so any burn through will go straight to primer.
 
Start mild and increase the aggressiveness of the polish/pad combo as needed. Nothing to be afraid of if you take it easy to start.
 
Shampoo and extract would be your best bet

FeBreeze may help.



A solution of bleach water may do the trick (10:1)



Be sure make contct on every surface, incliding INSIDE the air vents.

The car turned out great, soon it will be up on the site and ill try to get them up on here. It really shined, i actually used the VM with the rotary buffer with a blue edge pad and topped with nattys a great combo!! oh yeah the inside cleaned super easy, some Detail King pink stuff and wipe down that was all.
