Langka Blob Eliminator worth it?

I am getting ready to tackle the small chips in my car and wife's...I usually use artist's brushes that are practically pinpoints.

I worry mostly on my car as it's base, pearl and then clear that I will have to apply too much paint and have 'bubbles'.

Normally I just hit these with wetsandpaper, but that takes a bit of work to get right.

Is the blob eliminator a gimmick or real deal?

My paints are from paintscratch.com if it makes a difference.

I tried it will little sucess. Followed instructions and even let it set for l week. Did not come out smooth. Did it will little pressure, alot of pressure and same results. Did about 6 times and finally gave up.

I've used it a couple times, and it worked pretty well for me. I think a week is way too long to let the paint dry.

It takes some practive but does work.. the "squegee" method did not work for me very well

It's not something you should buy and run out to a customer car with.. take your time and perfect your method on your car or the car of a friend or family.

I had a very bad experience with Langka, and ended up screwing up my paint on my old RSX-S. Everything was resolved by talking to the owner and he took care of the damage.

I just found a paint chip on my roof that has a little rust in it so I want to take care of it ASAP. I was going to do Langka. I figured at the very least, its on the roof so no one will notice it as much as if it was on the hood. Looking at the pictures, I don't think I would do it on a a super nice car, but on my daily driver it would be acceptable.

The wetsanding technique in the How-to section is perfect. I can't even see the chip in the after picture.

..- to expect a "repair" with the system is not realistic - minimization is realistic ...

That's my take as well. I like the Langka for what it is and I find it handy to have on-hand. I don't always want to get into the whole abrasion process and the Blob Eliminator is an OK alternative. No, it doesn't turn out perfect but it's better than nothing when you're not gonna wetsand/compund/etc.
