Landscaping is hard work - pics warning

Looks great! It's really a lot of work. I speak from experience:
Me and my wife laid such a patio once, only to have it flooded the very next day by our neighbour who forgot to turn off her hose. Everything was ruined. We did it again and three wekks after we finished she forgot to turn off her hose AGAIN! :wall

:winner: Great job, Scott!! :bow I can see your packing assistant approves!!:bigups

I wish you many enjoyable times out there!!

Scott you did a fanatastic job..looks really nice..

i'm sure you'll be spending some quality time in the yard with friends and family

have you thought of putting a water sealer over the pavers to keep the sand from washing out

enjoy the party

hahahah you guys aren't going to believe this but i have two part time jobs car detailing and landscaping (honestly)......you did a great job on the patio, you laid it out perfectly, why are the speaker rocks pink?, the swing section looks great i like how you broke up mulch with the stone, it gives a nice effect (high quality look), this is being critical (however i am a professional landscaper), i would have some sort of a walk way out to the patio , so it doesnt look like its just in the middle of the yard, the lighting and electrical is a nice touch, and the trickling water adds a nice effect :) ....... its hard work but you saved yourself over thousands of dollars doing it yourself.... NICE JOB

Joe..I have a sealer on the pavers. The problem I'm running into is runoff from the roof of the gazebo washes away the sand. I might look into some polymeric sand, but it's pricey at $25/bag.

BlackWRX...Thanks for the compliments. We are planning on a path to the gazebo, but we haven't figured out what to use yet. There is a swale between the patio and the gazebo that I would rather not mess with due to the amount of rain we've gotten lately. Also, the speaker rocks aren't pink, but more of a light brown. It might be the camera or lighting. I think they were labeled as Sandstone in color.

the sand sounds a bit pricey but just may be worth it..you have a lot of back breaking labor invested at this point..

whatever you decide enjoy the fruits of your labor..btw, the size of your yard is sweet:bigups

Re: upp or optiseal

Hey scott, get some stone dust delivered(in a small dump truck), and top it with 1in. of sand.

Stone dust is like 20 bucks a yard, which is like 2000 lbs.

For a path to the gazebo, maybe just use stepping stones if ya know what i mean. We have them down to something in our back yard and they work out well.
