Lamborghini, SL500

Great work! What was the Hyper cut 2:1? Also on the benz center consoul that looked like it had so much crumbs in the cracks, what did you use to get all that out (compressed, brushes)? How do you like the 3M polishes?

SL500 LOOKS BRAND NEW NOW!!! Amazing turn-around on that one! I was wondering at first how come your pics inside with the halogens are so clear then realized you are using a tripod...guess I should start using mine to get pics like yours. Awesome job on the Lambo...paint looks dripping wet! How long did the SL take you!??

Excellent work on the SL500, your swirls removal skill is one of the guys that I really admire. Great job on both the cars :2thumbs: .

The dilution was 1:1 on tires, 4:1 on the engine. I used my steamer to clean the crevices of the console, no chemicals. I just steamed each crevice and wiped with a MF.

I like the 3M PI-III line, too bad it's been discontinued. If you ever encounter soft paint, it's nice to have around. The MG and RC have saved me enough times that I don't leave without them (thanks accumulator).

The SL took quite a a bit of time--about 8.5 hours, I charged $350. I could have shaved about 1.5 hours off of that time had I not been at home. My son was not feeling well so I would stop every now and then and visit with him (my wife was watching him)--I *hate* when he is sick. :( My wife also made vegetable soup--had to stop for lunch. :D

My camera is so small that if I don't use a tripod for shots like that, they *all* come out blurry. I bought the tripod for about $10 @ Wal-Mart, it's a piece of garbage, but works. I just keep the camera on auto, change the timer to 2 seconds, then take the picture--so far, so good.

THANKS GUYS!!!

That had to be sooooo much fun. Great job (as always). You're work is stellar.

The improvement on the Benz is jaw dropping.

You deserve a full month of min-vans after that run :rofl

Well, I have a Highlander used for hauling kids, two Mustangs that are garage queens, a trashed BMW convertible, and a repeat customer "maitenance detail." How's that for a mix? :D

LOL, Thanks for the compliments man. :D

I do this vehicle about three times a year and it *always* trashed!!

On the Lambo very nice and I'm very jealous. The SL, wow what a turnaround. Fantastic work. I noticed you finish with the PC and not the rotary, any reason? I've been reading and seeing lately that the rotary finishes out better.

I still don't trust myself to finish with the rotary and not leave holograms, so I assume that they are there and finish up with the rotary. I have built my business on swirl-free, hologram-free paint--I can't risk leaving them behind. With FPII and the correct pad speed, I can finish swirl free, but I just can't take the chance of leaving something behind.

Looks great. It's a real shame when a Mercedes gets swirls like that. People with cars like that should be taught on how to properly wash their cars. But I guess this is what keeps detailers in business.
