Lake Country PFW pad on Flex 3401

I gave this combo a shot yesterday with menzerna Power Gloss and quickly switched over to an LC orange pad with the same compound. It seemed like the PFW possibly didn't like the DAT. It also could have been the SS paint I was working on being super oxidized and clogging the pad with paint. I'll give the pad another shot on a BC/CC and see what I think again but I wanted to know what tips anyone could give for this pad? I don't see much talk of it on the forums or youtube.

Should I get a wool pad spur to clean it as well or will that not work on the orbital motion of the Flex?

I don't think your problems lie within the pad.....I fault the compound personally. Regardless, you need to spur/clean the heck of your pads on a regular basis. Compressed air always seemed to work well for me with wool pads.

I agree. Powergloss is notorious for clogging up pads. Wool is where it's at for powergloss imo.

that's odd. I really liked the powergloss on the orange pad.

guess ill get a spur. i clean foam a ton with a stiff bristled brush.

I don't spur my PFW pads, I blow 'em with the compressor. *Conventional* wool pads I do spur, but those are the only things I use that on.
