Lack of regular washing?

Will leaving a car dirty for a while effect anything (wax or paint) other than looking dirty?

Cause I Zainoed the Jeep about 1.5-2 months ago and had not washed it since. I just washed it yesterday and did the Zaino QD spray and it looks just as good as before and the water still beads a lot.

This might be obvious, but I suppose it lets fallout - that your removed by claying - bond to the paint better because it has time to sit.

If water stops beading because of the dirt, water will sit on the paint and have more time to "soak" through and eventually rust, I suppose. Ok, maybe that isn't possible.

Dirt can hold water on the paint longer (like a sponge) so if you live in an area with higher pollution or acid rain, it could cause problems.

I believe that it would make your car much more prone to scratching, as the dirt accumulates and can then even be scratched by someone leaning against the car.

I used Zaino on my GF's silver civic about 2 months ago, and it hadn't been washed till saturday, when I washed it again. A little Zaino QD and she was shiny as ever!
