KSG: How many coats?

Are you saying it will change after it's not fresh anymore?

No, what I meant was that if the one panel had been more recently/differently polished then that might explain any difference. KSG keeps looking the same.

Aside from the lasting time of KSG and the Shiny look, even looks great on a red Audi, I also love the extreme slickness of the paint. I've felt nothing like it. Nothing will sit on the car without sliding off, even a cloth.

I you let it sit on the paint for sevearl hours before removal it will become more richer looking and loose a bit of that plastic look.

The blending of Klasse and Werstatt works great to produce very nice shine.

Acrylics for the home user are a great way to pick up the shine withpout doing alot of polishing.

Huh, that never happened for me :nixweiss I often let the KSG sit overnight before I buff it off and I always still get that plastic look.

Doesn't it become very difficult to remove it if you let it sit too long? I thought I read somewhere that it is best to remove it after 20-25 minutes

Nah, IME it gets easier. I even tried some goofy-thick applications and they came off easily after a few days. I've gone as long as three days before buffingit off and never had a problem.

When I do the minivan, I almost *always* wait overnight. I do wipe it off black plastic trim right away though, and sometimes I even use W-O-W-O on that if it's prone to streaking issues (not too common, but it has happened).

On the Yukon's exterior rubber, I'm waiting maybe 20 minutes or so and that works well on those surfaces.

I use QD to remove it with after an hour. It is soo easy like spread butter on the bread.

Heres a couple pics from this morning with 2 coats of KSG and topped with JW Carnuba Jett. Love the brightness of the paint.

When KSG is curing, is it okay to drive the car or should you let it sit till its completely cured? Obviously I wouldn't apply another coat until the car was washed again, but I'm just trying to figure out how much time i'll need...

What I do is apply it every weekend. That's for sure it fully cured and bonded.

You're OK driving it. You might not want to pull it out of the garage into a torrential rainstorm one minute after buffing off the KSG residue, but generally it's not an issue.

I've had the MPV get rained on a few hours after KSGing it with zero discernible effect.

alright thanks again for all the help...i'm in the process of polishing right now so KSG is right around the corner
