KoZak Detailing Cloth

I used them in the days when I didn't know about micromarring. I thought they collected dust like moderate pollen rather well, better than a CCD. Now,as I understand how micromarring forms, I don't feel confident that the nature of the cloth's material won't cause it.

Yeah, it'll micro mar (often not so micro). Nowhere for the contamination to go so it gets pressed into the finish. I've used them and the damage was rather severe.

Others claim to have used them successfully, but it sure didn't work out that way for me and I was a) being as gentle as I can imagine anybody being, and b) cleaning off very light dust from the car having been left in the closed (and pretty clean) garage for a weekend.

If you absolutely must use such a thing, get a CCD instead.

Thanks for the info!! I suspected it may cause micro-marring. I don't trust anything that is not lubricated in some fashion to touch my paint. (That sounds kinda perverted!!:o )

I ordered a MF Kit from Autogeek and this was in it. It also had a cheesecloth, which I have no idea what I can use that for. I prefer my PC and MF.

Ive used them ,and they are very good , but not for your new BMW , Lexes . If you have a old car or beater and you wanted to keep it clean, fine . If you are worried about micro-marring then forget it .

I have one or two brand new ones left over from when I thought I might actually want to continue using them :wall :o Now, because I'm so overly concerned about marring ,I doubt I'd use them for wiping the wheels. I'll probably wind up using them around the house.

They might work well for doing the wheels and areas like door jambs, etc.

It's raining here now, I just put layer 2 or Signature on Sunday. I think I'll pull my car out in the rain just so I can use my new WW towell. This will be replacing my Water Sprite synthetic chamois.

Heh heh, if you stick around here very long you'll start treating the wheels and doorjambs as well as you treat the hood of the car ;)

I saw some on-line and I found it interesting that these have been around since 1926. I think the package design looks pretty cool, and I may add one to my shopping cart sometime just as a nostalgia piece, but I donâ€â„¢t think I could bear to use one on my paint.

Geez, listen to me, Iâ€â„¢ve more useful products than Iâ€â„¢ll use for months and Iâ€â„¢m talking about buying something just for the packageâ€Â¦Ãƒ¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã‚¦ :o
