Sonus and 3M pads I use, the product used for this detail was 3M's new fast cut plus compound, product no. 50417

Kind Regards

Paul.

So by working the polish really long you're able to finish like that with a compound?

Amazing.

Great work and excellent correction work... I love it!

What carnuba wax are you using now Paul?

Do you use the Ultrafina?

Thanks

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Its my own Carnauba wax, which will be for sell early next year.

No, my favourite all time product is 3M's 80349, extra fine compound, its mental! It takes out sanding marks and can be used with a selection of different pads. Can even be used as a final polish on a soft buffing pad, as well as working with the ceramic clear coat paints.

Kind Regards

Paul.

Paul very awesome work indeed. your details always are so exciting to see on here. I would have loved to have gone to that car show. Great job again. Keep up the awesome work

Dan

I always like reading your threads. The reading practically adds to the gloss of the cars since there's so much more for my mind to work with.

Excellent thread!!

The pictorial was thoroughly enjoyable. Interspersed video was a great addition to the thread. I am appreciative of the time that it took to do both the detail as well as the posting of this thread.

Thank you for sharing your experience, since it is most likely the closest I will ever come to cars of this quality.

Beautiful car, great detail!!! That wax looked dry, almost like a powder in the container... May have just been the pic though.

Paul

Thanks again for the info. I will have to get someone to ship me a bottle of the 80349 and try it out myself. I have heard very good things about it.

I do have the 3M SRC polish which is a US polish, but have no idea if it is the same as the 80349 which is a different part #.

Thanks

Ryan

Wow... Does anyone here work their polishes that long? I do maybe 1 minute max and then buff off. This looks like the polish can go forever...

Should i try this next time with my other polishes? 106ff, zpc, ocp, ect?

I usually go with 106ff/rd/sip that long.

lol, thats one post! :thx

Even though its a pricey car that first one I think is just ugly.

And only 9.9 in the quarter mile? I have friends that get that in ricers that are modded out.

Anyone know where I can get a backing plate like the one paul has? I had one but it destroyed itself and I have been trying to find one since.

Thank you!
