Klassing and then Klassing some more

I have really wanted to Klasse (SG) my car since my first great experience a few weeks ago. I Dawned the car, and went right to the Klasse. Well it rained all last night (right after I finished taking off the coat of SG, ugg!), and then it rained some more today.

I also wanted to see how much dust would attach itself to the SG, compared to the Blitz (top layer) covered car. I should be reporting that later this week.

My question is regarding the multiple layers of SG. Do I need to put AIO on again (inbetween coats)? If I use the SMR, will that take off the SG (I assumed that it would)? Also, how long should I wait to take the SG off, once I have put it on?

Any input would be appreciated :) .

Don't apply AIO between the coats of SG!!! The AIO will remove the SG. The only time you redo the AIO is when you want to strip the Klasse and start over (once or twice a year only). SMR will strip all the Klasse, AIO and SG.

Most say let the SG dry on the car for at least 20 minutes. I sometimes leave it on for 1 hour or more, but 20 minutes is the minimum.

I agree, what showroom said :)

And don't forget AIO/SG on the wheels - really makes it easier to clean them when you wash...

Agreed! Either AIO or SG will look very nicely on your rims. They will also protect your rims and make them much more resilient to getting dirty as quickly. Laters.

So SG really repells the brake dust, or at least keeps it from sticking to the wheels? I have the toughest time keeping my wheels clean. My 325i puts off enough brake dust to drive a person crazy trying to keep them looking clean.

I have found SG does not really stop brake dust from sticking to your wheels. SG does make cleaning them easier, though. Rinsing them alone gets rid of nearly all the brake dust.

Ok, that's it, I am SGing the wheels this weekend! Waxman, I am holding you to your claim ;) . I will let you all know how it goes (as it only takes a day or two for the wheels to get coated in brake dust).
