Klasse, Zaino, Wolfgang, Menzerna

With these polishes and sealants, do you have to use a pc, or can you do it by hand. Currently I do not own a pc, and I would like to apply these by hand, is one better than the other. One more question, when you apply the twins, do you have to wait a certain amount of time before applying the next product.

Thanks

Welcome to Autopia :)

You can use all of them by hand.

Klass AIO and SG provide great results but the SG can be finicky at times so many Autopians prefer to use AIO as a base for many waxes and sealants.

I have used Zaino and while it produces a nice shine I personally don't care for the look.

Wolfgang sealant is very nice and very easy to work with. The car shampoo is also a well lubricating, high sudsing soap.

Menzerna is a great all around product line and next to Hi-Temp, is my "go to" line of choice.

As for the wait time, I don't believe there is a wait time.

Menzerna polishes require at least a PC to work effectively. Klasse, Zaino, and Wolfgang sealants can be applied by hand.

With Klasse, most apply SG immediately after AIO. Then for each following coat, a 24 hour cure time is needed. Regarding product choice, I prefer Zaino over the other two. Its quality and technology makes for beauty that's more than skin deep.

Right..........I forgot to mention that Menzerna cleaners/polsihes work best with a machine, at least the IP and the PG.

Since the topic was sealants I assumed the Menzerna in question was the FMJ but we all know what happens when we "assume" :)

Thanks BW

I use the Klasse twins. There is a learning curve for SG but once mastered, it is fairly easy to use. I use the wipe on/wipe off method for SG. Apply it with a damp applicator (I use Eagle One Wet Wipe n' Shine to moisten the applicator). I apply to a panel and immediately wipe off with a MF towel. Subsequent coats require at least a 24-hr wait between coats.

Just going by pictures posted on this site, I prefer Klasse over the other sealants. I am not as impressed with Wolfgang, Zaino or Menzerna FMJ (I do love their FP). I have a blue metallic Miata so maybe it plays to the strengths of Klasse AIO/SG. It also works very well for my other car, a black Lincoln LS.

Beastie, why are you not impressed by WG, and prefer Klasse?

beastie,

Klasse does look great on blue. It looks great on my blue car. I understand why you like it so much. But one thing I have found is that the look of SG can be a big miss on other colours, like my green car. That's why I bought some WG and will be applying it to the green car very soon.

Provided your paint is properly prepped, you can use all the polishes and last step products of each line by hand. Overall, I'd go with Wolfgang, great appearance and amazing ease of use.

Menzerna can be applied by machine or hand. I'm looking at the booklet right now. I ordered the kit that is offered on the web site. I'm waiting to use it on a car that is washed ONLY. The only way to really rate these products. I'm sure they would work on a newer vehicle. Take a vehicle that has been abused then use your high end product. THIS WILL TELL THE HONEST TRUTH !!!
