Klasse / TO WOO OR NOT

I was going to post a pic of an actual dead horse, but if we have any PETA members, they'd start crying or something. ;)
I have these images saved away for just such emergencies:

Intersting thread. Thanks to all for their insightful responses.

First and foremost I just wanted to apologize to the board for my actions in the other thread. Autopia is a great, friendly place. Unfortunately my posts went against that spirit.

My bottom line point is, IF you are going to try the WOO method, then great. BUT, just give it a chance (like 3 or 4 months) to see how it performs before posting your concerns and fears. There is no point in worrying about something that hasn't happenned yet (ex. loss of shine, durability, etc compared to other method).

I agree with jngr's post, do what works for you. But please don't flame another technique when you have no basis for the the flame.

Now, let's all get back to waxing, shall we!!

Jab, I owe you a direct apology as well. I should have worded my responses better. Live and learn.

Like I said, just give woo a long term chance, then we can all talk about the end results.

Bill. :up

Bill .. I ordered the Klasse twins today and when spring ever shows up it will be the Menzerna twins then the Klasse twins ... I have Zaino on it right now and am very happy with it but winter will take its toll in regards to sand induced scratchs/swirls so it will need a polishing which will kill the Zaino. I'm going to try the WOO and throw a few layers on about a week apart.

If the gloss doesn't match what I have all I am out is $80 ( Ya the twins are $80 up here in Canuckville ) and I can go back to the Zaino and use the Klasse on the relatives cars.

Jesstzn,

Give it a shot. Let us all know how you like the twins and woo.

It cost you $80 bucks? Where did you get them from? Did you get the 16oz. bottles?

Bill.

A nice feller Autopian ( Black Regal ) sent me a small sample of AIO and SG. Today its 36F out .. prolly a little cold but I used the AIO on the trunk and not having instructions just worked it in some then removed it.

Next I applied a thin layer of SG and seeing the trunk is small and the weather cold I left it for 10 min and removed it with a MF. Came off no problems / no streaks. Only reason I left it 10 min is the ph rang and I werk from home so couldn't ignore the $$$$. 10 Min is prolly the time it would have taken to do a large hood.

This was the BN+10 method.

Weather/washing permitting I will do another SG in a week.

I applied and removed SG in a lateral motion as I do all my protectants. This apply to SG too? Not circular.

Jesstzn,

Cool. Same thing happenned to me in the summer. Phone rang just as I was going to wipe off. Mine didn't come off so easily though after hanging up. Glad yours did. The weather must have helped out. As for applying sg, yeah, I do mine in front to back motions. I never apply any product in circles.

How did the area feel compared to the z?? Slickness, general feel, etc??

I still don't understand your attacks on the wowo method ?! If you check the original thread (lengthy) about the method you will find quiet a lengthy discussion about people's apprehension over the bonding process, and whether or not it had time.

How can you argue with results?! what do you want from autopia to prove to you this method works? If you don't like it don't use it, its fairly simple. Go with what works for you. If you want to make a reasonable argument then consult with a chemist and get back to us, but I have a feeling even that would be fruitless.

The results have spoken, wowo rules.

~One man’s opinion / observations~

Can an old man have the last word as I think this discourse was agree upon and voted a dead issue awhile back…?

If an application method works for you and your eyes like the results, use it and be happy, if not try something else. : There is no ‘one correct way’ to apply a product, most detailers have their own preferred methodology. The way detailing products are customized are what each individual finds give them their desired results,

~Hope this helps~

Hard to tell .. if I remember right they both felt about the same .. mind you the last coat of Z was in early Nov when it was about 60 F out so its hard to remember. Right now the trunk feels slicker than the fender beside it.
