Klasse SG experiance - A MUST READ!

Wow... such an argument over the application of a product. What have we come to?



I think I have applied more coats of SG on more vehicles than most. I had to in trying to figure out how to create a spray version of the stuff.



In my experience, SG works great in a quick wipe-on/off technique if the product is applied very thin. If you apply the product too heavy, it is necessary to wait until it dries. I have had excellent results applying one whisper-thin coat followed by a rich coat that I allow to dry over night. In the AM, the fully dried SG is a breeze to remove.



I agree that this topic has been discussed a lot, but I have yet to see anyone document the perfect technique... Sorry Bill!

Very true. Nothing is perfect. No method for any product is perfect. Even Zaino. And for Z we have Sal to ask.



But like I said to jab, just try woo. Let your paint be for a while and then post your results. I don't think he's seen anything in the last three days that would tell him woo is not an effective method.



There is gentleman who is posting in the official woo thread comparing woo to the traditional app/rem method. I'm very interested in his findings. I feel this comparison can offer something useful to future klasse discussions.



What my friend has posted in this thread is an utter waste of time. He's basically advocating that we let sg dry for a day before buffing off. You and I both know that very few people will use klasse if this becomes the recommended method. It's just too painful to do. And that would mean less people will use what is a truly great product.

My god !!!! All this over removing wax???



Try the Woo method. If you don't like it move on to another removal method.



Try the wet MF/dry MF method..If that doesn't work try letting it dry...Is it that hard??? Find what works for you and go for it !!!!



Bill N is only posting his tips on removing the product. If you don't like his advice, don't use it..Nobody is holding guns to our heads to remove Klasse SG this way.



If it doesn't work for you..move on and try another way.. Geez....:angry

Try to learn from other people, and keep an open mind on new ideas, new products and new techniques.

There is no ‘one correct way’ to apply a product, most detailers have their own preferred methodology. The way detailing products are customized are what each individual finds give them the desired results,

Having skimmed over much of this unfortunately fated thread, I am only reminded that I reached the conclusion a while ago that there are basically TWO generally accepted methods for using Klasse that seem to work at this time:



1) Let dry very thoroughly and then buff.



2) Buff off immediately before drying occurs.



And all I know are these facts and truths:



1) Letting Klasse dry thoroughly, sometimes overnight, is the older and previously standard method which is as old as the Archives.



2) The WOO method pioneered by BillNorth is relatively new, but also appears to be a valid technique.



3) Do whatever works well for you.



4) Keep an open mind.



5) Relax..... this is the internet.
