It's a general consensus that it's better let SG cure for at least half a day before applying another layer.

First question is..how long do you leave SG on before buffing off?

And then after buffing off, while it's still curing, what do you do if you need to take your car out? QD when you get back?

Cure Time.......

When cure time is refered to it is the time required between coats. As soon as you buff SG off your car, you can drive your car. Just make sure to QD or wash (use your judgement) before applying the next coat.

evilplan- In answer to your FIRST Q: the longer you wait the easier the SG will be to buff off. Given normal (warm) temperatures, it usually CAN be buffed off after as few as 30 minutes, or even sooner. At the other extreme, I applied an UNUSUALLY THICK coat of SG the other day (experimenting) and let it set up for 48 hours. Using a plush MF, and fogging the surface with my breath before wiping, it came off quite easily. Such a thick coat would have been a bear to remove without the long set-up/cure time.
