Klasse on Wheels

Me, too - Both - I find a couple coats of SG makes it much easier to clean and even helps shed brake dust a bit. Have tried other products, but SG works best for me.

I use both (AIO x1, SG x3). My car doesn't generate as much brake dust as say a BMW or Mercedes, however, what does accumulate comes off very easily.

What does everyone use to clean the wheels before putting on the AIO and SG??? Or does brake dust just wipe off easily after putting that stuff on?? How often do you have to apply the AIO and SG??

I have used Meg. gold class wheel cleaner twice now, and it scares me a little because it discolors my brake disc for a few days with a corrosive look. I order some Einmann Fabrik to try - can I use the AIO and SG after cleaning with the Einmann???

I keep my wheels clean with the gold class car wash solution. After this, the AIO does a great job of cleaning the spots that were missed. By the time I get to the SG, they are spotless.

Klasse AIO and SG work great on my wheels....they clean super easy with Soap and water and/or Final Inspection, and look great too!

bmw530i2003, use the gold class in the same ratio as you would to wash the car to remove any excess brake dust, that is all. Then AIO and SG. Easy and it will definitly make cleanig those wheels easier afterwards.

Thanks asharna.

I actually read that thread wrong that Mike wrote...I thought he said that he used the GOld Class wheel cleaner, but he said GC Car wash solution, which I also do have....thanks for the tip...I have get some AIO and SG....actually just ordered some Einmann for the wheels from CMA....ever tried that??? Thanks...:up

bmw530i2003, EF is great (I need to get some more!!!!)

Try there EF clear pearl QD (made by the same guys who make the similar, but more expensive Pinnacle crystal mist QD). A great product.

Another tip (MAN, is there never an end to them!!;) ): I have bbs wheels on the c70, and the brake dust is baked into the inside (back of the wheel rims, next to the calipers) and it is never easy to clean them (unless you remove teh wheels!!). I use those long oval wheel brushes to reach b/w the spokes to clean them, then, if possible, apply AIO there(really helps your wheels stay looking great). I need to lie down flat and reach under the car to do this (only EVERY 6 MONTHS). Crazy I know. :up

Hey guys Klasse sells an acid free wheel cleaner/engine degreaser Made in Germany for $9.49 a bottle at [I'M A SPAMMER]. Its on sale right now.

Then you can apply the AIO and SG which are also at the lowest prices around. They also have a neat Wheel and Tire Care Kit that has everything you need.

You guys should go check them out and drop that Meguiars Gold Crap.

Blackmirror, you should treat your wheels like you would the paint on the car. I however only apply one coat of SG, no waiting;) .

All this talk about wheel cleaning has my head spinning.. :bounce

Am I the only one who cleans wheels with Simple Green??

That stuff is very tough on brake dust, I use it specifically to clean the inside of the rims (the lying under the car and reaching in from the inside part...)

I prefer setting the car up on jackstands and taking the wheels right off though... I do that a couple of times a year to clean, polish and "insert favourite polymer sealant here" the inside...

:shocked

I does?? That I didn't know... You just signed that product's death warrant. Thanks, BTW! Dayum, looks like I'm back to the ol' wash mitt and gentle car soap... Long and tedious. :(
