Klasse KSG

I seem to recall that there are two iterations of the Klasse sealant out there: the original and an updated version. Does anyone know when the updated version was introduced? I am trying to figure out if what I have is the original or the updated version (and, I guess, the difference between them).

Thanks,
<TED>:)

As far as I know the silver bottle of KSG is still the same original formula. The new revised version is labeled as Jeffs Werkstat Acrylic Jett.

The Werkstat line is slightly easier to use and for me the real difference is in the revised KAIO version. (Prime / Prime Strong) These are easier to use and allow for 2 different levels of cleaning. Prime is the chemical cleaner like KAIO, but Prime strong is like the supercharged version with moe cleaning and a little bit of cut it seems.

Ah, now that you mention it, I do seem to recall that the new version came out as Werkstat...

Many thanks!

Early 2000s for VOC regulations.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are organic chemicals that are chemicals that easily enter the air as gases from some solids or liquids (Paints/Detailing products/Gas.etc. Products containing VOCs can release these chemicals when they are used and when they are stored. Many times you'll notice an odor when using these products. Ventilation is a must to bring in fresh, outdoor air to mix with indoor air when using it in a garaged setting.

EPA

EPA's Office of Research and Development's "Total Exposure Assessment Methodology (TEAM) Study" (Volumes I through IV, completed in 1985) found levels of about a dozen common organic pollutants to be 2 to 5 times higher inside homes than outside, regardless of whether the homes were located in rural or highly industrial areas. TEAM studies indicated that while people are using products containing organic chemicals, they can expose themselves and others to very high pollutant levels, and elevated concentrations can persist in the air long after the activity is completed.

It means over the years alot of products have to change to meet VOC's regulations or one can't sell them.
