Klasse High Gloss Sealent or All in One?

Hey all,

I'm looking to buy some sealent and I'm not sure what will best fit my needs. Does the All in One have a sufficient Sealent or is it mostly a polish? Which do y'all prefer and why?

I'd like to pick a pure polish and a pure sealent and really give my car a good one two punch. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks for all your help,

Matt

If you just want a sealant, SG is the one to get. However, AIO and SG is really a system, and is best used together. AIO cleans the paint and lays down a thin layer of sealant, facilitating the bonding for SG. SG won't bond well if you use a polish which will leave oils behind, unless you strip all of it off with Dawn or with another cleaner. If you wanted to use it that way, I would recommend Platinum Ultimate Paint Protection. Easy to use, and does not have the same bonding issues as SG. However, I don't think it's quite as durable as SG (no scientific evidence, just based my experience in working with it). Others will chime in with their favourites, I am sure, but those are the two I have worked with and like.

Klasse All-In-One is essentially a cleaner wax. The idea is, you use Klasse AIO which cleans the surface and preps it for the Klasse Sealent Glaze, which is a durable acrylic "wax" that lasts 6-8 months. I always reccomend doing both, though people do claim to succesfully use one or the other independantly, which may be true... I just haven't seen the same results or felt comfortable with the protection of merely AIO. The argument against using only SG is that it will not properly "bond" to the paint of the car unless the car is perfectly clean--free of all oils or silicones found in most polishes and waxes. Perhaps the best results I've seen with most cars is to use something like Meguiar's #9 2.0 Swirl Remover, then Klasse AIO, followed by SG. Always great, swirl-free results.

AIO stops beading for me at about a week. That may or may not mean that the protection is gone. I've always used it like the rest of the guys have said. Its basicly just the cleaner product and base for the SG.

C'mon, Jngr. Add the link to your recent "miracle restoration" using AIO. It's a killer. And -- doggone you! -- is the reason I'm in the process of ordering the Klasse deal from Autopia CarCare. ;)
