Klasse Haze

Ok, I'm getting really frustrated with the Klasse SG and the hazy streaking it leaves behind. I tried wiping it all down with QD, didn't work. then I tried distilled water, didn't work. I've been using pakshak microfibers to wipe with. Plus I applied an nice even thin coat and had let it sit for an hour before buffing it off. I've also let it sit for 24 hrs before applying the 2nd coat.



It's only appearing on two panels of the car (the driver door and fender). Everywhere else is fine. I wonder why? In any case, I've gone through the searches and found nothing to help me remedy this problem. :(



I realize it's a consistent problem with klasse. Anyone else with suggestions? I was thinking of stripping it down with a yellow or white pad and PC using AIO or SMR. If I go with the SMR route, then follow up with AIO and a white pad, then try and reapply a layer with SG.



Anyone else have any suggestions?
 
You don't need a PC or any abrasives. Applying AIO by hand will remove SG. The cleaners in AIO will take care of the removal. I know this because I had lots of hazing problems in the beginning.



There maybe something different in the way you applied to that panel that caused it to be different. Or maybe the lighting is different?



DavidB had a different way of applying SG guaranteed to be haze free. 75% SG and 25% Sonus QD mixed in a bottle and misted on to the applicator and then applied. Haven't tried it, but may do some experimentation soon.
 
I've used SMR on all the panels, and I haven't noticed any hazing other than those two. do you think maybe I didn't buff the SMR off properly then sealed it in? :nixweiss



I've tried using AIO by hand, but it hasn't done anything to remove the haze. (so annoying):wall
 
I had some hazing problems on one panel that was getting some direct sun when I applied the SG. Could that have been your problem?



If the hazing is in fact in the SG layer, then it's odd that AIO didn't remove it. Perhaps there is hazing under the SG. I'd try polishing the whole panel with an abrasive SMR and starting over. Its only 2 panels so it won't take too long.

Another thing to look out for is saturating the applicator with SG after doing the majority of the car. This has happened to me when I thought I was applying SG in a thin coat. I was in fact just applying more SG to the applicator. I stopped and rinsed out the applicator and wrung it out and it worked well thereafter.

Which QD have you been using? I just started using Sonus with SG and it's made removal a breeze! Buffs off easy leaving a brilliant shine.



Ordered 3 more bottles of Sonus last night. It's on sale now for 3/$30.
