Got home and oldest son was in the middle of driveway (dosen't think anyone lives here but him) so I parked in the yard. He was prepairing to wash and apply S100 or Pinnacle Souveran over AIO. He asked for my help since it was getting dark I obliged.... we recently split the cost of Quickshine and a bottle of Clearkotes carwash so he was about through with the tires and wheels I got the other buckets and MF mitts and we began. This car has been clayed PC'ed with 3m finish restorer ,Meg's #9 SMR, AIO and topped with Pinnacle(he prefers) and S100 which (I prefer). He said it had been 3 months since we topped with carrnuba. Here is the unusual part as we were attempting to wash the MF mitts were very hard to move normally over the surface (using the Clearkote wash as lube to remove containments)the contaminents were causing friction with the MF mitts which I had never experienced before. We finished washing and I got the blower and dried completly. The finish was uniformly rough not like before you clay but like there was some micro grit all over the car. I told my son we would use AIO for its cleaning properties so I broke out the AIO and a foam pad and started appling and was surprised when the paint grabbed the pad so bad that it was difficult to apply.I grabbed the QS QD to see how it would handle ( have used Mothers Showtime,Crystal Mist and and EO wipe and shine and EO wax as you dry) this situation. Spritzing the pad with QS QD made a huge difference lubing the paint as the AIO cleaned the surface. I changed the foam pad twice cause of the material that was being removed from the paint. When removing the AIO and Quickshine QD combo the shine was really very wet and deep which we thought was better than S100 or Pinnacle Souveran. This long post is a thank you to this forum for all the excellent advice, timely infomation and heads up on new found products that most of us would never have heard of unless this forum existed.
