Klasse AIO/SG

I'm about to place an order at CMA for some AIO and SG. However, I have a black car, and on their site it says under cons it says:



"Some enthusiast feel the shine is too "sterile" on dark color cars."



Is this true? What do they mean by it, does anyone here use it on their black car? I am more interested in protection from rain/water spots than anything else as my car has taken a beating the past few months from the enviroment.



On a side note, if I go with AIO/SG whats the best applicator to use with it (by hand) ?

How much is needed for one application of AIO (or SG?) I see at klassedirect.com they have a smaller bottle, 10 oz.



I never thought of ordering from autopia, however they don't exactly state (although they do show) what is included in the kit. I don't have a need for the QD spray though.
 
One oz. will do your whole car easily. Less is more with Klasse. I mentioned Autopia just because we need to support this site. If you are not sure you want to go with Klasse, then the 10 oz. will be a good trial. I just recently (this month) switched to Klasse and am very pleased, and if I run out, will go to the 33 oz sized bottle! :)

What color is your car? What do you use to apply the AIO and SG (if you use something different?)



I've been using search, although I keep on finding different things...



CMA btw has a "tip" --

Take a dry Viper Microfiber Detailing Cloth (not the Glass Cloth) and fold it until it’s palm sized (5� to 6� square). Lightly mist the cloth with Eagle One Wet Wipe N’ Shine. Apply a dab of All-In-One to the cloth about the size of a nickel. Apply to one section of the car at a time (i.e. a door, 1/2 of the top, etc.). You’ll notice that it wipes on very easily (thanks to the lubricating action of the Wet Wipe N’ Shine) and leaves virtually no residue. When you’re done with one section, take a second, dry Viper Detailing Cloth and re-wipe the area to remove any residual residues.

that sounds pretty good, the only thing I'm worried about is not using enough? I know it sounds bad, but when I "waxed" my car for the first time last summer, I kept pouring more of the liquid wax onto the foam applicator. It just didn't feel right (it felt like the foam pad was dry) and that didn't seem like such a good idea to me when rubbing it around in the paint. How do I know if I have enough?
 
I use terry applicators. Do a search for Jimwh's Klasse directions. Heck, here, I'll do it for you. These are the best I have ever seen. If you follow them, it'll be a breeze. I didn't the first time, and had problems. The second time was a piece of cake.

Yeah, it is definitely much more of a bright shine than it is a wet, or deep one. It still looks quite good, though. I love it. It also comes out really nice when topped with a good carnauba, like P21S.



Like I mentioned elsewhere not too long ago, I'm sure you'll be happy either way. It's good stuff, especially AIO. :xyxthumbs
 
Like Polaris mentioned, many people like to top off their Klasse (when done layering) with a carnauba wax. This way they feel they're getting the best of both worlds.



Personally, I don't like to use any QD spray with my Klasse application because I don't think it's that hard to apply, and (mostly) because I do not want to confuse dried QD for dried Klasse. This is especially important when you're trying to apply it as thin and sparingly as possible. I just use an extrememely light mist of water on the pad instead (for SG), since it leaves nothing extra behind when it dries.



I've been using foam applicators for both AIO/SG, but may try AIO by PC this year. :)
 
I have 2 black cars.

I use Klasse AIO/SG with PS21 or Souveran toppers.

The wax tends to mellow the shine.

Makes it 'pop', no doubt about it!

I ordered it! I'll be away all weekend but that wouldn't matter as I won't have the AIO/SG until Monday or Tuesday. Looks like the following weekend is all booked up now :)



Here is my plan:

Wash with Gold Class

Clay

(Do I need to wash again?) :nixweiss

AIO

1x SG (More layers later on...)

I might pick up some S100 at the local HD store and top it off with that, good idea or bad???

Good move!! klasse is my favorite. I use it on black and silver cars and it really is the most compatible with any other wax imo.



I say get the s100/ps21 :up !!

If you don't have clay residue problems and you used QD as the lube I wouldn't bother, but would if I used soap.
 
Good move, Matthew. I concur with Brian. If you use car soap as lube, you'll have to rewash. At that point, your car is pretty clean anyway, a rewash will only take a couple of minutes.
