Klasse AIO (2 Coats) and SG (4 Coats)

See IMAGE below. Was not able to successfully attached picture on this post.

Being a "Newbie Detailer" (March 2003), I never thought that I will be able to achieve sush clarity and reflectivity on my paint surface. Also, I never thought that I will be able to get such good results in taking pictures.. My very first shot!

Yup!

Believe it or not, I never experienced any problem applying Klasse AIO and SG. In fact, I think I over did the application by using too much product on my MF applicator pad but still NO HAZE whatsoever.

With 4 coats of Klasse SG right now (including the crevices), I think I have used 1/4 of the 16 Oz. bottle... don't you think I over used the product?

I suspect that weather condition has something to do with the so called hazing. Our current weather here in the Philippines is between 29 to 32 degrees... the product dries fast.

Interestingly, I did not use an MF Towel to remove any product residue. What I did is just use the same MF applicator pad to finally remove / polish both Klasse AIO and SG.

With the results I got... it is surely worth importing Klasse AIO and SG here in the Philippines even if it cost me US$52.10 for international shipping.

Cool. I never noticed you were in the Phillipines.

Hmmm...I'll have to apply more SG to my car to see if it's easier in the summer, now that it's warm.

Actually 4 oz. to do 4 coats is not too much, I don't think. 1 oz per full coat is about what people say, although I think I used way less than that, more like 1/2 oz.

Did you do the coats one after another, or wait a day between coats?

Good job! :xyxthumbs

I think you could have used less, like 1/2 oz as 2wheelsx2 said, but it's not hugely excessive I think. With practice you can get it all the way down to 1/4 or 1/5 oz if you want, and then your bottle will last forever. :D

This is how I did it;

Saturday:

1st Coat Klasse AIO

2nd Coat Klasse AIO after 30 mins.

1st Coat Klasse SG after 1 Hour

Monday:

2nd Coat Klasse SG

Wednesday:

3rd Coat Klasse SG

Friday:

4th Coat Klasse SG

Currently, I am adding a coat Klasse SG every 2 weeks...

NOTE:

It is true that it is better to wait for 24 to 48 hours or more before applying succeeding coats of Klasse SG to see the difference.

I notice the improve difference on my 2nd coating of Klasse SG. For the 3rd and 4th coating... the difference is not that much but still has a difference over the previous coats.

Yes, you will notice a deminishing return as you add layers of SG. Basically, you can stop when you've reached the best bang for your effort.

Interesting technique on using the applicator to remove the AIO and SG haze. I'll have to try that. I also agree with you on the heat factor. I presume that you are using celcius temps right!?!?!

Really nice work!!

QUESTION:

Do you think if I top my current Klasse SG with Pinnacle Souveran Wax it will have a BIG difference. For purposes of assuming the gloss, how many percentage will you give for the improve gloss, reflecivity and depth of color? Please range from 1% to 100%.

Thanks!

On dark colors (esp. black) Souveran on top of SG improves depth at least 50%. Highly recommended. Not much difference on light colors, though...

Wow! That's quite a regiment. Let us know how many coats before you stop noticing a difference.

I agree with what's being said above. A carnauba topper will add a bit of depth and warmth to your SG, since your car is red. Won't make any difference on a light coloured car, I don't think.

2wheelsx2,

Difference on Klasse SG "for me" STOPPED at 5th Coating but I still do apply Klasse SG every week coz I want to get back that slickness on my paint surface. Although using a QD (Eagle One Wep Wipe and Shine) would help get back that slickness but still Klasse SG slickness is still a lot better.

Believe it or not weather hear in the Philippines is hot and very unpredicatable. From May to October it rains on and off... the worst thing sometimes it only drizzles and ruins your paint surface.
