Klasse AIO or Z5?

I have very light swirls. If anyone has a better suggestion for very light swirl removal or covering please let me know! I would be applying all polishes by hand.
 
Neither of those will do anything for swirls. I also have a new 335i that had swirls new. I tried Menzerna PO106FF with a PC, and with one pass over the car I had a perfect shine. I topped that with three coats of Z5Pro/ZFX. The 106FF has bite, but finishes well. I applied it by hand to areas such as the front bumper and mirror housings, and even then it polished well. When working by hand, find something that does the work for you. I think this product does just that.

Thanks. I will look at Mezerna 106 FF, but I don't want something overly abrasive or even close to mildly abrasive.



Any places that sell Menzerna in a smaller size for cheaper? I kind of don't want to spend $50 for a 32 oz...

You'll need something abrasive (polish) to get rid of the swirls. Don't fear the stuff, especially if you are doing it by hand. The amount of paint you remove is a combo of the type of pad you use, the speed you run, the pressure you apply, and the polish. You may get some very light cut (if any) with an aggressive pad/PC and something like AIO, or by hand with 106FF.



Keep in mind that applying Klasse or Zaino can make swirls appear worse than they really are.

Sorry for being noob, but what do you mean by the term "cut" and "agressive" pads. I am applying it by hand and I thought a simple foam or MF applicator is best?
 
Gah, I'm in a dillemma now...Since Z5 is a sealant, what would you reccomend? 845 or Z5 w/ ZFX for my silver paint?
 
If you're going to seal with Zaino, I'd use ZPC on a polishing pad to remove those swirls.



Also, how do you like the 335? I drove a 328i Coupe a while back, it was awesome!

Car is great, power and torque galore and smooth as butter.
 
My question again with other words: Did you hesitate this much with your car/specs/color choice as well? (Pointing to your 845/Z5/Z2/OP/Z-PC/OPS/ZFX/1Z/PC dilemma...)

I have both-Zaino is better than Collinite. ZPC, Z5PRO, ZFX and Z8. With those products you can have the best of both worlds-looks and durability. Surely if you can afford a BMW you can afford $80 for maintenance products. Remember when you buy the best the first time you don't have to waste a lot of money chasing the lastest flavor of the month product.

I'm not sure of your paint color but I prefer Z5pro(slightly fills) topped with Z8 on darker colors. If you own a lighter color or mettallic you might like Z2pro better. If you already own a good finishing polish like menzerna or optimum you can skip the ZPC.

Consider it confirmed.......:2thumbs:



Z5 pro and/or Z2 pro with ZFX, the optics are as good as they get if the paint is right before application.........

I use Z2P w/ZFX on my yellow C5 and it's tops......



My wife's black Acura TL gets Z5P w/ZFX after a polish and that seems to be enough...



Good luck with either product......
 
I have used both as well; you will not be disappointed with Zaino. I am not sure if anyone has said this yet, but if you have silver and minor swirls skip the z5 go for z2 pro. Some may disagree, but without a machine polisher, some polish and experience, the swirls will not be easily removed by hand. Otherwise get a light polish like FPII or ZPC and polish until your arm falls off, BMW metallic paint can be pretty hard stuff to correct by hand.



Also Z6 and more importantly Z-8 are a must!!!
