Klasse AIO: how do I know whether I am spreading the product

I heard I need to apply very small amount of AIO with damp applicator.

Then how do I know whether I am actually applying AIO, or merely spreading water or quick detailer?

BTW, how long does AIO last without any topping?

May car is outside all the time.

Klasse AIO in my opinion a great prep but lacks in the protection dept. If your car is outside all the time, I think you definitely need to add a better layer of protection than AIO alone. That being said, AIO can certainly give you some protection but only for a limited time.

When people mention a damp applicator, they don't mean sopping wet. I usually just mist a little water on it and try to wring as much as possible out of it before using. It will take a few passes but after a panel or two the water will be replaced with AIO and the applicator will become *loaded*. If you have water coming out of your pad while trying to apply AIO, you didn't wring it out well enough. In addition to that, be sure to actually *work* the AIO in. It isn't really a wipe on, wipe off type product if you want the best results which is why application by machine works wonders vs. by hand.

I might be reading this wrong, but feel free to use as much AIO as you want. It becomes tougher to take off, but...

I think, maybe, you've confused posts about Klasse SG (apply very sparingly) with the AIO posts.???

They are very distinct products

AIO is the cleaner, use it as such. You need to use enough to work the paint. SG, is the product that should be used very lightly. IMO, the first coat of sg should be heavier than any additional coats to insure protection, but I may be wrong on that. After the first coat of SG, use just enough to barely be able to see on the paint, thats just about the right amount.

While i have never tested the durability of aio as a stand alone product, I am always surprised when people say that aio doesn't last. Klasse states right on the bottle that aio provides 6-8months protection. How could they get away with such a bold statement if it doesnâ€â„¢t even some close to their claims??

6-8 months in *ideal* situations which probably mean mostly indoors. It is deceiving I know, but they all do it. If you could really get 6-8 months out of AIO, why would anyone bother with anything else?

Meguiars Gold Class also states its the best wax on the market...

I understand that factory claims are not the best source, but 1-month durability is a big difference than 6-8months. Iâ€â„¢m not trying to flame anybody, I know how passionate people are about AIO (Iâ€â„¢m a fan myself). I just want to know why some people think that AIO has such weak durability properties.

Easy, it doesn't last. When it comes to paint, I get no more than 1 month from AIO alone before it starts looking bad. On the other hand, if I protect with a carnauba I get about two months, and if I protect with a coulple coats of a sealant I get at least three months before it's starts degrading. When I say *looking bad* I am talking about a finish that's not perfect anymore and showing some light marring. I'm sure there's still some protection there, but not enough to keep the marring away.
