Klasse AIO dilluted as QD?

I have a lot of Klasse AIO on my stock, I only used it once before I started topping Klasse SG (6th coat by now).

I was thinking of dilluting Klasse AIO and use it as a QD. What do you think? Anybody tried doing it?

Uhmmmmm.... Bad idea. Klasse AIO is a cleaner. Unless you want to be spraying a product that can remove your wax or whatever else you have on the surface.

AIO IS A CLEANER PRODUCT AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. It can't be layered and its not for protection. AIO will remove whatever is under it. If you mix it with QD then you might as well mix alcohol with your QD. AIO does a great job on its own to clean your paint. Its not a good QD though.

Gotcha...

But how do they do the Sonus QD which has "the same acrylic components as Klasse"?

Not to start anything... just an innocent question.

Cheers!

If you smell Sonus, it smells almost exactly like SG.

I read on klassedirect.com about mixing 1-2 oz or so of AIO in a 16 oz bottle will be good for a QD, but I'm gonna try something like 0.5 oz AIO and 1.5 oz SG in a 16 oz bottle with distilled H20. I'll let you know how it turns out ;)

I disagree with Jngrbrdman about AIO not being a protectant. Using AIO alone will protect the paint, albeit not the extent that SG would on top of it. Read the label... it's called ALL-in-one for a reason :xyxthumbs

I'm not sure if AIO layers or not, but I always do 2 passes of AIO now. The paint seems to be more amenable to SG bonding with two passes vs. one.

Does your AIO mixture works? Have you tried comparing an dilluted AIO vs jusr H20? Have you also tried QD-ing an SG Topper.. did it remove the SG.

Hope you can provide feedback....

I will also try within the week an AIO + SG dillution and see if it will work.

Other than just using up AIO, I'm not sure what the point of this would really be. I don't see AIO mixed with water really doing all that good as a QD for what QD usually does: add slickness, safe removal of dirt/dust, provide lubrication. I would feel better about just using any QD than trying this.

This is just like taking a squirt of some cleaner wax and mixing it up with some water and trying to use it as a QD. You don't hear anyone ever suggesting that. JMO...

AIO mixes very well with watter. After washing the cars, usually we have to clean and dry door jambs and such places, and then wax or something. By using a cloth moistened with that mix, I'm cleaning those areas very well, it removes easily grease and others, and then I buff with a dry cloth leaving a very shinny slick surface.

Why don't you try?

Since AIO is very high in solvents I'm not sure how well it would mix with water.

Why not just use a spray wax instead? It would do the same thing pretty much and not be as expensive. AIO strikes me as an expensive QD. Even if it works as one, where's the benefit?
