Kink free garden hose?!

Well I bought this garden hose at Target that is supposed to be kink free. It is yellow and has a nylon jacket and rolls flat in its own spool(As seen on Tv product, never again) Well it doesn't kink but is crap otherwise:mad: ! The plastic adapter they supply to use with your own nozzle broke in half when I dropped it 1 foot on the ground and its the only adapter they supply, also the nozzle they supply which would work won't stay on when their is water pressure that comes through it blows right off! Not to mention that the diameter of the hose is small so when you take the nozzle off to do the final rinse it has too much pressure! So if you see this at Target please avoid.

So does anyone have a hose reccomendation or something I can do to avoid kinking? I hate those darn kinks, I was considering getting one of those spiral hoses but the diameter looks to small for the final rinse and it looks like it be a spring back condition! So any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks!:xyxthumbs

So would you say they are kinky free Tom?:D How much are they and where can I get them? Thanks By the way the name of that hose to avoid is Flat Hose!

Seems like that hose would only work if you had the whole thing strung out. If you use a hose reel like i do that's not going to work.

Teknor Apex makes great hoses. I have another hose by them purchased a few years ago. They are the OEM for Griot's. If you don't need the 3/4" capacity, don't pay for it. It's big $$.

I searched far and wide at the local stores and never found anything but 1/2" and 5/8" ID....much less money, too. Those were around $25. The one pictured above was $42 (doitbest.com) and ended up being $52 delivered.

Lowes supposedly has them as well as Northern Tool. Again, skip the 3/4" ID if you don't need it. True Value does inventory them as well.

mantic, I use a Suncast hose reel and it's not an issue...no concerns. These hose are pretty tough and you can drive the car over them without causing damage.

The only truly kink-resistant hoses I've ever owned were 100% rubber, reinforced garden hoses.

They really do remain kink-free, but they are expensive, and not suitable for drinking.

I have 150ft of hose on my reel i can't remember what brand it is now but so far i've had no problems with kinks. If you have plenty of hose to work with you avoid having to pull on the hose hard and making kinks.

I was at lowes the other day and yes they had the hose you posted so if you guys wanna try it check there. I felt it and bent it and it didn't seem any different then any other heavy duty hose. While you're there check out their solid brass on/off and quick connects they are great.

I happened to notice a Gilmour hose that also claimed to be kink-free...it may be worth having a look.

Not much of the new season's garden supplies has been put out in my local stores...yet. The choices should be better within a few weeks.

Thanks Tom for the reccomendation on the never kink hose I picked one up with the money I got refunded for that POS I had gotten it was around 20 bucks with 5/8" fitting an 50' length. It doesn't kink plus the fittings are real nice, if you need a new hose give this one a try its awesome:up !

For some reason, Teknor-Apex is not a supplier to Home Depot in my region. Elsewhere, yes. New England, no.

:(

When I was looking on the internet it looke like True value hardware might carry them too! Oh by the way I did a final review on that Black Magic MF glass towel, and after a secong go around I think its an awesome towel for 3 bucks, no streaking and has enough texture for cutting through gunk, I'd check it out!:up Later Tom
